Add the Apex Chassis TR130 Left Outer Tie Rod End from XDP to your 1999-2004 Ford F-250/350/450/550 or 2000-2005 Ford Excursion. The housing is made of SAE 1045 solid steel forged alloy. Parts and bearings are CNC machined for precise dimensions and to eliminate die wear issues. Ball studs are made of SAE 4140 hot-forged Chromoly for the strongest possible metallurgy. Induction heat treatment is provided to ensure precise heat treatment to the required depth and location. Rolled threads are used to strengthen the threads while step threads allow for easy installation and superior holding when torqued.
The bearing design features military-grade acetal bearings, the same material specified by the US military for Hummer ball joints. This material is dimensionally stable, anti-friction, and can withstand heavy loads. The phosphate finish is extremely durable and double-coated, with threads coated as well. The hardware is grade 8 - class 10.9, guaranteeing superior tensile strength. Lubrication is provided through the adjacent outer tie rod end, with pre-greasing and gull-winged grease grooves for improved lubrication disbursement around the ball stud.
