Each DFC engine is remanufactured to meet the most stringent guidelines. DFC makes important improvements that help your engine maintain its performance ability, without sacrificing durability and reliability. Constructed using advanced Rottler machining equipment, you can be sure your engine is built to tolerances that are tighter than the factory specs for an efficient and long lasting engine!

DFC engines are usually matched with near identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies. As a result, you get a smoother running engine that creates less noise and feels more balanced. This remanufactured Long Block includes new pistons, rings, bearings, and seals.

Each 6.4L Powerstroke Street Series engine comes standard with O-ringed cylinder heads. Unlike some other engine manufacturers in the industry that re-use wearing items like valve guides, DFC replaces each one with a new set of cast guides in every cylinder head. They don't stop there; instead of just using old valves and giving them a re-grind, DFC installs all new valves from high quality sources like MAHLE or SBI. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC also machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking, giving you a more durable cylinder head. 

DFC Street Series engines come standard with OptiTorque or ARP 2000 Series Head Studs (depending on availability) to give you peace of mind that your new engine won’t fail due to head gasket issues. Not only does DFC use Head Studs, when assembling the bottom end of your 6.4L Powerstroke engine they also replace the factory connecting rod bolts with upgraded fasteners to ensure you have an engine that is more dependable than the original.
