Nitro Gear TORS-CHY11.5-30 Helix Helical Gear Limited Slip Differential

The Nitro Gear TORS-CHY11.5-30 Helix Helical Gear Limited Slip Differential is a cutting-edge design limited slip for the 30 Spline AAM 11.5" in your vehicle. The Helix is a torque-sensitive mechanical limited-slip differential that uses worm gears and spur gears to distribute input power between the two drive wheels. This is a completely different design from the beveled spider gear designs commonly seen in most of the automotive industry.

The Helix functions as an open differential under normal driving conditions, allowing one wheel to spin faster or slower as necessary. When one of the wheels experiences a loss of traction, the gear separation forces start to take effect. This distributes the torque to the high-traction wheel by increasing the helical-shaped gears mesh force until wheel spin is minimized or entirely stopped. Once the low traction condition stops, the differential resumes normal operation.

The operation of a Nitro Helical Worm Gear LSD is smooth, quiet and automatic and will engage without any driver awareness or require any action. It also has no wearable parts and requires zero maintenance, producing less time in the shop and more on the road.

Note: Will not fit 2016+ 3500 Dually with Aisin as they used a 16 bolt ring gear
